(AMD) added 2.8% to close at 531.28, and NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) gained 2.4% to finish at 216.00.
On the downside, Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) led decliners, slipping 1.9% to 630.56, followed by UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (UNH), down 1.8% to 410.70. Apple Inc. (AAPL) and Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) each eased 1.1%, while Visa Inc. (V) fell 0.9%.
The rest of the watchlist was mixed but largely subdued. Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) rose 1.5% to 532.60, while JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) and Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) posted modest gains of 0.7% and 0.4%, respectively. SpaceX (SPCX) was little changed, down 0.4% to 146.90, rounding out a session where moves across most of the list stayed within a narrow band.
