Wednesday’s session was broadly negative for the watchlist, with growth and technology names bearing the brunt of the selling. SpaceX (SPCX) led decliners, falling 9.1% to $144.75, followed by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), which dropped 8.1% to $507.93, and Meta Platforms (META), down 7% to $648.85. The weakness extended across much of the mega-cap technology group, with Amazon.com (AMZN) down 4.6%, NVIDIA (NVDA) down 4.4%, and Alphabet (GOOGL) and Tesla (TSLA) each down 3.1%. Microsoft (MSFT) posted a smaller decline of 2.2%, closing at $521.08.
Not every name in the watchlist moved lower. UnitedHealth Group (UNH) was the session’s best performer, rising 1.9% to $424.98, while Visa (V) added 1.6% to close at $414.34. Apple (AAPL) and JPMorgan Chase (JPM) also finished in positive territory, up 1.2% and 0.4%, respectively, closing at $348.22 and $336.54.
Taken together, the session showed a clear divergence between the watchlist’s technology and growth-oriented names, which saw the sharpest pullbacks, and its healthcare and financial names, which held up or gained ground. SpaceX, AMD, and Meta Platforms accounted for the largest point and percentage swings of the day, while UnitedHealth Group and Visa were the only names to post gains exceeding 1%.
