Thursday’s session skewed lower across the watchlist, with eight of twelve tracked names finishing in the red. SpaceX (SPCX) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) posted the largest declines, down 4.2% and 3.9% respectively, and NVIDIA (NVDA) followed with a 2.9% drop, extending the pullback across chip-related names. Amazon.com (AMZN) also fell notably, off 2.3%.

Declines were more modest elsewhere. Microsoft (MSFT) and UnitedHealth Group (UNH) each slipped 1.3%, while Tesla (TSLA), Alphabet (GOOGL) and Meta Platforms (META) recorded smaller losses of 0.7%, 0.6% and 0.1%.

Not every name moved lower. Apple (AAPL) gained 1.1% to close at 340.42, the day’s best performer, while Visa (V) added 0.8% and JPMorgan Chase (JPM) rose 0.6%. The split between a weaker technology and consumer-discretionary cohort and firmer gains in payments, banking and Apple points to an uneven session rather than a uniform risk-off move.

Notable movers

SpaceX (SPCX) led the watchlist’s decliners, falling 4.2% to 160.57 from a prior close of 167.60.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) dropped 3.9% to 620.68, the second-largest move on the watchlist.

NVIDIA (NVDA) declined 2.9% to 230.48, adding to the day’s weakness among chip names.

Amazon.com (AMZN) fell 2.3% to 254.06, among the larger losses outside the semiconductor group.
