Watchlist trading was mixed on August 12, with SpaceX (SPCX) standing out as the session’s biggest mover by a wide margin while the mega-cap tech names split between modest gains and losses. Chipmakers NVIDIA (NVDA) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) both advanced, while Meta Platforms (META) and Microsoft (MSFT) posted the largest declines on the day.

Elsewhere, moves were smaller. Amazon.com (AMZN) and Tesla (TSLA) each slipped less than 2%, and Visa (V) and Apple (AAPL) edged down about 0.9%. On the upside, JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and UnitedHealth Group (UNH) posted modest gains under 1%, while Alphabet (GOOGL) was essentially flat, closing down just 0.1%.

Overall, the session showed no clear single-sector direction: financials and healthcare inched higher, semiconductor names gained, and two of the largest tech/software companies pulled back, with SpaceX’s double-digit-percentage jump the clear outlier of the day.
