SpaceX Tumbles 13.6% on Aug. 5; AMD, Alphabet Also Fall

Elsewhere in the watchlist, moves were more modest. NVIDIA (NVDA) was the session’s standout gainer, adding 3.4% to close at $219.22, a divergence from AMD’s steep decline within the semiconductor space. Tesla (TSLA) slipped 1.8% to $321.55, Amazon.com (AMZN) eased 1.7% to $272.65, and Microsoft (MSFT) declined 1.1% to $487.46.

The remaining names were largely flat. UnitedHealth Group (UNH) rose 1.3% to $412.75 and JPMorgan Chase (JPM) added 0.5% to $359.24, while Apple (AAPL) edged up 0.5% to $311.00. Visa (V) dipped 0.3% to $368.54, and Meta Platforms (META) was little changed, up 0.1% at $588.77.

SpaceX (SPCX) was the session’s largest mover, closing at $108.27, down 13.6% ($17.06) from its prior close of $125.33.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) fell 7% to $482.05, a decline of $36.53 from its prior close of $518.58.

Alphabet (GOOGL) dropped 4% to $362.43, down $15.22 from its prior close of $377.65.

NVIDIA (NVDA) rose 3.4% to $219.22, gaining $7.28 and standing out as the top gainer amid declines in several other tech names.
